Saturday 7th November 2020 0930 – 1230 Scrubditch Care Farm, North Cerney

Saturday 21st November 2020 0930 – 1230 Scrubditch Care Farm, North Cerney

Learn the fundamentals of how to make sourdough bread and leave with a small loaf to cook at home.

During the workshop, we will cover

  • Looking after your starter
  • Making a loaf – recipe, consistency, how to salt and maturing the dough
  • Baking your loaf – preparing the dough, oven temperature and creating steam
  • Using different flours – what to expect
  • How to do all this without spending money on any new kit – there is no need for specialist baking trays or ovens

The class will be led by Chloe.  4 years ago, Chloe’s daughter arrived with a sourdough starter and a recipe and she hasn’t stopped since.  She even makes 2 loaves a week for her daughter now.

You will leave the workshop with everything you need to bake your first loaf at home within 48 hours, a pot of starter so you can carry on making bread beyond the workshop, a full set of instructions and a tips sheet.

Price of the workshop £35 to include brunch of sourdough toast and poached eggs, tea and coffee, a pot of white or brown starter, a small loaf with a container so you can bake your loaf at home.
